A New Hampshire lawmaker was formally charged on Wednesday with drug dealing and attempting to lure a 14-year-old girl for sex. Most current, Jeff has been the well driller member of the New Hampshire Water Well Board from 2003 to 2010 and was Chairman for two of those years. Over the years, Jeff has served as President, Vice President and Director of the New Hampshire Water Well Association. The designation of Master Groundwater Contractor recognizes those who have proven, exceptional knowledge and dedication in water well construction and pump installation. As a member of the National Ground Water Association, he is proud to be one of the few Master Groundwater Contractors in the country, and the only in New Hampshire. Jeff has enjoyed a high level of success in the well drilling industry. He holds licenses in New Hampshire and Maine as a well driller and pump installer. His responsibilities in the company have increased to include all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the company, both in the shop and in the field. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Business Management, Jeff joined his father (Elmer) and brother (Dan) working full-time at Tasker’s Well Company. Tasker previously served on the Children and Family Law Committee and before that was a member of the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee.As a teenager, Jeff worked as a drillers helper during the summer and school vacations. Police said they retrieved a loaded semi-automatic handgun from inside his car, as well as marijuana, a glass smoking pipe and a bottle of alcohol. Almost every year there are proposed bills to amend the Right-to-Know Law. When Tasker arrived, officers from Nottingham, Northwood and the state Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force swarmed in and took him into custody. The Right-to-Know law changes as new bills pass into law.

Police said previously that a search of Tasker’s home uncovered “vast amounts” of controlled drugs, including marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms, ecstasy, hash oil and a narcotic called Buprenorphine. He also faces six counts of possession of drugs with intent to distribute and one count of possessing ecstasy. He is charged with four counts of certain uses of computer services prohibited after he allegedly used a Facebook account to lure a 14-year-old girl into a sexual encounter in Northwood, according to indictments. Kyle Tasker, 31, of Nottingham is facing 11 felonies in all. A Rockingham County grand jury has indicted a former New Hampshire state representative on drug and sexual exploitation charges.
